January 9, 1992 - Thursday. Our weather is still mild. The sun is out all day. The 1st time since December 24th. I'm sewing lap robes for the nursing home. I have 3 tops sewed.
January 12, 1992 - Sunday. Warren and Stan Davis came and fished perch for 2 days. 70 perch altogether.
January 15, 1992 - Wednesday. Our weather has really been frigid. -20 to -25 below.
January 16, 1992 - Thursday. I took Harland into emergency for stomach pains. He has 'Diverticulitis' (colon). The weather is starting to warm up.
January 22, 1992 - Tuesday. I brought Harland home from the hospital.
January 23, 1992 - Wednesday. The weather isn't bad for January. I went to Deerwood Senior Citizen alone. Our weather is in the 30's.
January 30, 1992 - Thursday. The high was 46 and sunny. I'm finishing 3 pieced lap robes and I crocheted 2 lap robes. It took me 34 hours for the crocheted ones and 18 hours for the pieced ones.
January 31, 1992 - Friday. The low was 30 degrees this AM. The high was 35 degrees. I took Harland to the hospital for the barium xray of his colon.
February 4, 1992 - Tuesday. We went to Garrison Senior Citizens.
Feburary 5, 1992 - Wednesday. I got a permanent today.
February 6, 1992 - Thursday. Har and I were getting ready for Ladies Aid. Harland went to the bathroom and that's where he passed away around 9:10AM. The rescue unit worked on him for 1 hour, but to no avail. I called Bill S. and he took over on that end. Tam and Bill came from Montana.
February 10, 1992 - Monday. He had a real nice funeral. May he rest in peace. Father Straka had the services at the funeral home. I'm still working on our "Thank Yous". The response was really outstanding.
February 11, 1992 - Tuesday. Tam and Bill, Chick and Judy, and Jim left at 6AM. Bill and Karen, Collette and Marie left after 8AM. John, Michelle, Nicolle, Natalie and I went to Brainerd, had breakfast and we went to the laundromat. They left at 3PM and hoped the kids would sleep most of the way home.
The kids and everyone has been so very good to me. I've written out 78 thank you cards so far. I'm waiting for the death certificates. I've written 85 thank you cards. I've received the death certificate and taking care of the legal aspects of a death in the family. Medicare checks are coming in and I've mailed them to John Deere. Now I wait for John Deere and get the bills paid in full from Harland's hospital stay and his last eye check up, new contact.
March 13, 1992 - Henry called and Hank passed away and Marie is in the hospital.
March 17, 1992 - I went to Wisconsin for the funeral. Hank look good, but thin. Marie left good, but I think she's been having light strokes. I came home after the funeral as the boys came. Chick, Bill and Jim came after work. They drained the hot water heater and I have more water pressure now. They have their work cut out when they come the 1st week in June. We'll clean out the garage and cement in front of the small door and clean up whatever needs attention.
March 18, 1992 - I put the garage door opening in today.
April 8, 1992 - I planted my sweet peas today.
April 9, 1992 - The ice went out in Borden today. I done more raking today.
April 10, 1992 - We got 6 inches of snow today and 30 mph winds.
April 11, 1992 - I run the vacuum today and washed my hair.
